IN-PERSON | LIVE STREAM

As we move into 2025, the Trump administration kicks off with a mandate for political and economic change. Closer to home, an Australian federal election looms. That could see policymakers pursuing measures that add to volatility rather than stability.

Our Lowy Institute experts spoke on the key issues likely to dominate the international agenda in 2025.

The panel was chaired by Dr Jessica Collins, Project Director, Australia-Papua New Guinea Network, with Hervé Lemahieu, Director of Research, Richard McGregor, Senior Fellow for East Asia; Susannah Patton, Director of the Southeast Asia Program and Project Lead for the Asia Power Index; and Robert Walker, Research Associate at the Institute’s Indo-Pacific Development Centre
